DNA Policy
Due to an increase in wasted appointments caused by non-attendance and short-notice cancellations we have introduced a Did Not Attend (DNA) policy.
We respectfully request a minimum of 24 working hours’ notice for cancellations. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 working hours’ notice will be recorded as a Did Not Attend appointment.
We reserve the right to refuse further treatment to patients who:
· Fail to attend two consecutive appointments or two late cancellations
· Not attending three or more appointments within a three year period
· Six late cancellations made less than 24 hrs, within three year period
The above is indicative but not representative of all situations, in which we will refuse further treatment.
We understand that illness and emergencies happen and will always take individual circumstances into consideration.
In the event of a cancellation, we will endeavour to fill the time allocated to you with another patient.
We do not charge NHS patients for a late cancellation or missed appointment. We reserve the right to refuse booking further appointments following failure to attend two consecutive appointments or two late cancellations.
However, we reserve the right to refuse further treatment if attendance becomes a repeated issue.
If you wish to appeal a decision relating to a missed or cancelled appointment, please contact the Practice Owner :
